Sorry I have missed a few Newsletters, Lord R.e. Taylor has not been well, but is now back to his shiny self, so I can concentrate once again on our work
I pray you had a happy and peaceful July 4th and may it continue every day following! I lived in America for 16 years, and I loved every moment of it. I wanted to become an American citizen, but my Mother became terribly upset about this as in those days dual citizenship did not exist. As I loved her very much and had no wish to hurt her, I kept my Australian citizenship.
America was so kind to me, no one ever said “Oh you cannot do that you are not an American”. I even became the President of the New York chapter of the Women of The Motion Picture Industry of New York. But fate has its ways of guiding your pathway in life, if I had taken out American citizenship I would never have returned to Australia to make a television show about Australia for America, lost all my money due to bad advice and been unable to afford to return to America, so I lost my green card!
Losing my green card at the time was a devastation to me, but one has to pick up the pieces and eventually in Australia I found my true talent as a Musical writer, and sometime later became involved in an American Poetry group and there I immediately became attracted to the surname of a Poet called Robert Taylor (as while living in America I had the thrill of working with Elizabeth Taylor on a television commercial I had written). I found Robert Taylor’s Poetry dark and magnificent, such a contrast to me, so I wrote him a fan letter, we clicked in every way possible, he has also written a Musical on Janis Joplin and as we communicated I soon realized I had truly found my destiny. So maybe sometimes dreadful things that happen to us, and wrong decisions we make, help guide us to our future. Every day I wake up and give thanks for our meeting on the Internet. Lord R.e. Taylor fills my heart to overflowing, creatively, mentally, and emotionally
I am writing all this on the 4th of July, and mentioned all the above as I love America, and I am a true friend of America and because of this I am extremely concerned about the division occurring in America today. I look at CNN and hear one thing then tune in to Fox News and hear an entirely different story. Once News it was reported without constant bias on the reporters or broadcasters’ side. America you are becoming so divided it scares the hell out of me. You attack the President non-stop, and for political reasons the President does not wear a mask to set example to the young who seem totally unaware that rioting and protesting spreads Coved 19, just as political rallies and not wearing masks can mean death!
America please do not divide into white and black, rich and poor, order and chaos, to quote Omar Khayyam “The Moving Finger writes; and having writ Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Whit Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line, Nor all thy tears wash out a word of it.” The past is the past! Yes, for goodness sakes fix what is wrong, but in a law and order way, fixing through mediation what is wrong and listening to each other without violent anger and embracing the good on both sides of the fence, or without order, justice and forgiveness, Armageddon may fall on the America we admire, love and respect so much.
