America Is Back
by Lord R.e. Taylor You were always so proud A leader in the world Not afraid of anyone And never backing down For four years that all changed Every country walked all over you But you never fought back You just hid and let them do it While your leader hid under his desk You became nothing Now you have a new king One who will not back down Standing for everything that is right He will fight for you and all of your people That may make him hated by the ignorant But most of your people wanted him And they knew a good thing when they saw it So, you may raise your head again America is back! © Poem – XIII/II/MMXXV LRET Our Miracle World
by Elizabeth Waterhouse Do not let the Internet or T.V. control you Go outside and look and listen Observe clouds dancing in the sky Birds twittering all around you The beauty of all the changing seasons Ocean waves softly lapping the shore Rain forests, cascading waterfalls Flowers growing in profusion everywhere Parks, mountains, deserts and countryside Cities, towns, villages, and remote valleys The world is yours to enjoy just go outside. © Shadowlight Publishing 2023 I am Here for You
by Elizabeth Waterhouse Do not be afraid, I am here for you And I come, my unknown friend, With my fire hose, boat, or bulldozer To help in any possible way I can It does not matter who you are If you are rich, or if you are poor Religion, politics, or the color of your skin I am here for you in this hour of need I’ve come to save you, my fellow human being. © Poem Shadowlight Publishing 2023 |
That Faraway Beach
by Lord R.e. Taylor That island you look at Watching the people on the beach Laughing and playing Drinking some kind of drink A just laying on the beach Trying to be darker than they were before No one has a single thought in their head Real life does not exist for them Still, would you want to do it Leave everything behind and be someone new You bet you would but life is real Your job is real and your kids are real So, you keep watching that island And keep hoping to end up there someday Until then, just sit under your sunlamp Drink that flat beer from last night And lastly, put on Baywatch © Poem – III/I/MMXXV LRET Please Little Angel
by Lord R.e. Taylor Please little angel You have done so much Helping children in trouble Taking them through their illnesses Helping their dreams always be good And when a child dies You escort them to Heaven So please, little angel You, more than anyone Earned the right to be at peace You deserve the feeling it will bring The feeling of being blessed XXVII/II/MMXXV LRET The Web
by Elizabeth Waterhouse I did but love quite casually. And now I am caught in a web I have no desire, ever to escape. © Shadowlight Publishing 2023 |
