I Am Here For You
By Elizabeth Waterhouse Do not be afraid, I am here for you And I come, my unknown friend, With my fire hose, boat, or bulldozer To help in any possible way I can It does not matter who you are If you are rich, or if you are poor Religion, politics, or the color of your skin I am here for you in this hour of need I’ve come to save you, my fellow human being. © Poem Shadowlight Publishing 2023 Never Despair
By Elizabeth Waterhouse They were so proud of all their possessions Treasures found throughout the years Unable to pay bills, all were taken away Yet they still had each other to cling to So, they picked up the pieces and started again Never despair; there is always light at the end of the tunnel. © Poem Shadowlight Publishing 2023 True Friends
By Elizabeth Waterhouse The word friend is sometimes casually given To people who enter our lives but briefly True friends are always there They share your laughter, and your joy Your tears, your heartache and your dreams True friends are to be treasured And should never be taken for granted. © Shadowlight Publishing 2023 |
The Sun Rises
by Lord R.e. Taylor The Sun rises on a new day A young child climbs from the rubble Crawling over the bodies of her family She finds her last loved-one A teddy bear given her at her birth Even with her best friend with her She still feels alone and helpless And this October 8th is just the first day Of many lonely days filled with heartache © Poem – XXI/IV/MMXXIV LRET Hiding Abuse
by Lord R.e. Taylor Every day it is the same Hours at the mirror Adding more and more make-up Hiding bruises from the night before Another abused woman no one will ever see © Poem – XII/III/MMXXIV LRET |
