Newsletter Christmas/New Year 2020-2021

Hi dear website pals, well at, long last we are back on board! Sometimes the unexpected happens and sends you for a loop! 

Dear Shadowlight Publishing pals this is how I started my Christmas Blog/ Newsletter, in 2019 and once again the unexpected did happen, and this time it changed ALL our lives. 

For some so tragically, no words of sympathy can convey our heartache for you! A writer’s words are just not enough! Treasured loved ones gone so unexpectedly, so senseless so devastating. Let’s pray these vaccines will restore our lives and sanity back to semi-normal. Personally, I believe all our lives have changed forever, and will never be the same. We just must learn to live with the changes and rise above the mire. 

For those who have lost jobs and businesses, there are also no words of comfort except a wish that we all be strong enough to rise up against defeat and move forward once again truly believing there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

I thank the Australian Government for all it has done in this crisis to keep us safe and try to help financially as best they could, also business.  Personally, I must thank Foxtel, Optus, Origin, Ipswich Council, Citi Bank, St George, HSBC , Urban Utilities. and my dear cousin Karen. They all bore with us through tough times with due payments etc. and we appreciate so their understanding and help in this terrible year!

I advise all who are in strife to contact people who you owe bills to and explain what is going on and usually you can come to some amicable agreement. If you say you are going to pay on a certain date, make sure you do. It builds up trust in challenging times     

Never one to let anything get him down, Rob heads to the computer to write, despite his constant worry about his family in America, as two of his daughters work in nursing homes. (We praise their strength and courage! Rob is so proud of them both.)  

Despite Covid and all its trauma, Rob  has made great use of his time spent at home, writing a poem every day this Year, and working on our Poetry/ Picture/Cards especially our Holiday, Christmas and New Year ones. I think he has done a fantastic job! Do have a look, n our store, for $3 American or Australian if you purchase a card, you will receive a copy in your desired size with our photo or one you would like us to insert. They stand alone as an email gift of love or the card can also be framed once it is  printed out. Different countries have different frame sizes, which is why we need you to tell Rob the frame size you would like.  Just contact him at: [email protected].

Lord R.e.Taylor is also working on a short new story book and is patiently waiting for yours truly to edit his “Amelia Mary’ and ‘The Chronicles of Antonious’. 

For myself, I have come to marvel at women who go to work, run a house and are great Mothers to their children. Wonder Woman is too mild a title!

What with running a house,  a garden and sharing life with the one I love, and walking Brindal every day, and heading to work on the computer.  I feel like I am on a jet plane with no stops , and the moment I sit at the computer for a brief time, I look up and three or four hours have passed. Maybe Rob is playing tricks and is moving time forward on me. 

Despite all this I have taken ‘Charlie Cinderfella’ my Australian Musical off the back burner, and  I am starting once again to fly upwards with it. The more I work on it, the more I realize how fantastic it is! I’m sure I am a conduit for others looking over my shoulder. Telling me the melodies and lyrics and the story which is such fun to work on!  ( For story synopsis and two demo songs see separate page on our website titled  'Charlie Cinderfella ')

If only I can manage to add an extra 24 hours to my day, lots will be happening for Shadowlight Publishing including a joint Poetry Book ‘Roses of Love’ an extension of ‘A Dozen Roses of Love’ with added love poems from Lord R.e.Taylor especially for this Valentine’s Day.  

For now, R.e.Taylor and I wish you Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays or whatever Festival you celebrate at this time of the Year! No doubt we will all be so thrilled to be rid of 2020, also hopefully a little less self-serving politics as well. 

May the New Year offer you a world filled with family, good friends, and love ones. Most of all no matter what new devastating shocks 2021 may sends us , may we all pull together, ignoring our differences and concentrating on learning to appreciate and tolerate each other and all differing views, with harmony and love … 
Possibly just another Fairy Tale in Lord R.e.Taylor heart and mine, but we wish all … GOOD HEALTH & PEACE  ON EARTH!
